A man on Wednesday walked to Ngong police station and claimed he was among gunmen who shot dead two police officers in Kiambu last week.
The officers were attacked and robbed of their gun.
The man was taken into custody for questioning over the claims even as police hunt more killers of Martin Irungu and Paul Maina.
Police say the man has since named a number of suspects believed to have executed the last Friday’s murder.
The two policemen were gunned down by unknown attackers while on their beat at Miti Kenda area in Kibichoi.
