Makueni woman arrested as prime suspect in husband’s gruesome murder

Homicide detectives in Makueni County are today morning set to arraign a middle-aged woman in connection to her husband’s gruesome murder.

The lady whom investigators believe is the prime suspect in the murder is being held at Kilungu sub-County Police Division.

“She will be arraigned on Monday.” A senior detective said.

The deceased is said to have gone missing about two weeks ago before his badly decapitated body was found in a nearby farm.

The skull and bones were later discovered in their garden a few meters from their home at Thoma village in Kola area.

County Police Commander Joseph Ole Napeiyan, speaking to the media over the weekend, said the deceased’s clothes were also recovered, adding that the other remains of his body are yet to be found.

Napeiyan further stated that drops of blood were found on a machete and a shovel that were recovered on scene, suggesting that he could have been killed at home.

The machete and shovel were confiscated and will be used as evidence in the case, with the deceased’s wife being held in lawful custody.
