Lusaka to run for Bungoma gubernatorial seat

Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka has declared his candidacy for the Bungoma governor’s seat.

While expressing optimism to recapture the seat he held as the pioneer county boss, Lusaka assured he will sail through.

He discounted assertions that he has withdrawn from the race terming it as desperate propaganda by his opponents.

“I am aware that out of desperation, our opponents have come up with all manner of propaganda including suggestions that I will not run,” he claimed.

“Others believe I’ll run for Senate. All of that is garbage. I am running for governor of Bungoma, period,” he stated.

He urged his supporters to ignore the distractions and concentrate on the goal.

Lusaka, who is yet to declare the political party he will join, has urged his opponents to calm down.
