LG entertainment products perfect for staycation

Stay-at-home vacations (also known as staycations) are on the rise as one of the most popular ways to unwind without spending too much money.

If findings of a 2016 survey by Ipsos is anything to go by, most Kenyans prefer to spend vacations or holidays at home with their families due to financial constraints. The survey, conducted in December to find out spending habits and practices of Kenyans during the holiday season, showed that about 45 percent of Kenyans would spend their Christmas holiday relaxing at home.

All over the world, heavy workloads and stress threaten to eat into our precious vacation days. Most working people today are owed a minimum number of vacation days each year but a shocking number fail to use them all. Fear of falling behind at the office is a common reason for failing to take vacations while others are worried that they would lose their edge on the competition for promotions.

But this reasoning may be flawed. Research shows that not only are vacations good but that they may also increase productivity meaning they’re good for the workplace and for people’s careers as well. With so much to gain from a little time off, more and more families are starting to make full use of the time at their disposal to unwind and get away from the corporate rat race.

With the bad economy, taking a staycation makes one eliminates travel costs that usually go along with vacations. One does not have to worry about paying outrageous airline or hotel prices. Additionally, it is pretty easy to plan. If you have a week off of work you do not need to worry about rushing to pack your suitcase and arriving on time for your flight.

“Staying at home instead of travelling domestically or internationally however doesn’t mean that you are not allowed to have fun,” said Maureen Kemunto, LG Electronics Marketing and Communications Manager

A staycation can involve hanging around your house or taking day trips to explore your city or state. If staying at home, a staycation makes it possible to catch up on much needed sleep, watch movies, camp out in the backyard or listen to music.

LG’s reliable home entertainment products provide exceptional quality and performance, making them the ideal solution for staycationers looking to catch up on their favorite content anywhere in the home (or even outside it). LG’s 4K UHD Blu-ray Player supports Dolby Vision™ HDR imaging, transforming the TV experience with greater brightness and contrast. The ProBeam laser projector makes it possible for viewers to enjoy video content even in a bright room, while its slim design enhances portability and allows it to be paired with any Bluetooth audio solution.

Secondly, LG’s HDR-enabled UHD TVs are equipped with 4K HDR technology, allowing users to stream high quality content with unprecedented accuracy. They are stunning, both in terms of design and performance, setting themselves aside from the various other TVs.

Their picture on glass design means the display is impressively thin. Not only that, but the LG OLED TVs also offer Dolby Vision, a premium take on HDR that you won’t currently find offered elsewhere.

Some LG home appliances guarantee the safety of the home with their security and monitoring features, giving staycationers less to worry about while relaxing. The Hom-Bot vacuum cleaner features HomeView™ for real-time monitoring and HomeGuard™ which automatically sends photos whenever movement is detected.

Staycations, just like ordinary vacations are supposed to make people happier and more satisfied with their lives while also offering tangible health benefits by decreasing stress levels.
