Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero yesterday donated Sh6million to Kuwinda fire victims.
Over 700 families lost their dwellings in the Wednesday night fire.
“I am very sorry for what befall the residents of Kuwinda on Wednesday night,”said Kidero.
The funds will assist to resettle families affected by this fire that razed the entire winda settlement.
“As the County Government we are committed to ensuring the safety and well being of Nairobi residents,”added the Governor.
The Governor also ordered the Nairobi Water Company to supply water to the slum on a daily basis as this will ensure control of outbreak of water borne diseases.
Meanwhile Kidero and County Executive Health services Dr Bernard Muia will preside during the launch of polio vaccinations at the Calvary grounds Komarok sector.
