Sh 116.9 million fraud case against former NHIF boss adjourned
The hearing of a case in which former National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) CEO Richard Kerich and four others are charged with defrauding the institution over Sh 116.9 million has adjourned until November 24.
Trial magistrate Lawrence Mugambi of Milimani Anti-Corruption Court directed the case to be heard for two days without further delay after once of the accused person peter Ngunjiri Wambugu was said to be unwell.
Earlier the prosecution led by senior state counsel Njagi Nderitu expunged some controversial evidence of emails from the case.
The prosecution made the decision after the defence protested that they had not been supplied with a crucial emails which they said are important in the case.
