Karua roots for single Azimio candidates in areas with multiple aspirants to consolidate coalition’s support

Azimio-One Kenya’s running mate Martha Kaua states the coalition will seek to have one candidate in regions with numerous hopefuls by the end of June.

Speaking in Murang’a county when meeting Community Health volunteers drawn from the county today, Karua stated that having one candidate will help the Alliance have many elected leaders.

“The exercise will be fair, and we will bring on board all aspirants from the affiliated parties in the Alliance and agree on who will vie on behalf of Azimio. The exercise will be done before June 30,” said Karua.

She highlighted that the Alliance will hold open conversations with all candidates and has pledged to back whoever is popular.

“Let’s not just think of the seat of president, every elective position is very important, and I request you to elect leaders you know will serve you better. The leaders at the county level are very important since they are entrusted with devolved funds,” Karua added.

Karua also urged Murang’a residents to vote for leaders of integrity in all elective posts, from MCA to president.

The NARC Kenya leader indicated that the Azimio leadership could be trusted with the country’s resources, stating that corruption will not be permitted under Raila Odinga’s leadership.

Karua campaigned for Azimio presidential candidate Raila, claiming that the Azimio presidential leader has a history of battling for the good of Kenyans.
