Uganda’s first son Muhoozi Kainerugaba has offended many Kenyans on Twitter by claiming that it will take him and his army less than two weeks to take control of Nairobi.
Kainerugaba, who is a senior official in the Ugandan military, wrote the tweet with the aim of showing his county’s military prowess and strength.
“It wouldn’t take us, my army and me, 2 weeks to capture Nairobi,” he tweeted.
Kainerugaba, the son of President Yoweri Kanguta Museveni, is serving as the commander of the land forces of the Uganda People’s Defence Force.
Kenyans who weighed in to his remarks perceived them as demeaning even as others dare him to make good his threat.
Transport cabinet secretary nominee Kipchumba Murkomen also weighed in on the matter.
