Irrigation CS Wamalwa default in cheap debt

Water and Irrigation Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa is a man under siege over an unsettled debt of less than one hundred thousand shillings since 2013.

The minister defaulted in paying up car hire services he procured almost five years ago when he showed interest as a candidate in the 2013 presidential elections but later decided to support Musalia Mudavadi under the AMANI Coalition currently a co-principal of the opposition national Super Alliance (Nasa).

Wamalwa is yet to settle the nearly one hundred thousand shillings debt in spite of attempts to have the cheap shameful advance settled.

On 17 April 2015, Eugene Wamalwa was nominated as the Cabinet Secretary for Water and Irrigation Services.

Wamalwa who hails from Saboti at the foot of Mount Elgon, Eugene Wamalwa took his A levels at Gendia High School in Homa Bay.

After the successful completion of his secondary education, be joined the University of Nairobi Nairobi where he undertook a bachelor’s degree in Law and thereafter obtained a diploma in law from Kenya School of Law.

Failure to settle the debt for almost half a decade now may paint and implicate the generous minister in a potential low-cost swindle scam. Although the minister is tight-lipped over the irresponsible act, the glaringly debt is likely to haunt in corridors of power.
