Gachagua’s led DCP part unveil Purko Ward candidate ahead of mini-polls
The Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) led by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has today officially unveiled its candidate for Purko Ward, Kajiado county in the upcoming November by-election.
Gachagua, alongside other local leaders, introduced Simon Sanare Saidimu as the party’s flag bearer for the seat.
In his remarks following the unveiling, Gachagua described Sanare as an accomplished leader, a patriot, and a true people’s person.
“Sanare is an accomplished leader, a patriot, and a true people’s person. I believe in his ability to engage the common Mwananchi and to stand firmly for the rights of his people. He is deeply committed to people-centric issues, and we are confident that his candidature will lead our party to the victory we are aspiring for in Purko Ward, Kajiado Central Constituency, Kajiado County,” Rigathi said.
He emphasised the party’s confidence in his ability to connect with the Mwananchi and to champion the rights of the community.
The Party Leader has assured supporters that the DCP Party is committed to doing everything necessary to secure victory for their candidate.
Regarding the recent clashes at Oletipis in Narok, Gachagua called on the Maa and Kikuyu communities to engage and involve elders in dialogue to resolve the issues peacefully, urging that peace and tranquility must prevail for the progress of the area.
