Fresh twist as Ruto accuses Gachagua of being corrupt
Even though he did not mention names, Ruto’s choice of words, weight of criticism, and timing referred to his fallout with Gachagua.

The political differences between President William Ruto and his former deputy Rigathi Gachagua seems to be deepening after the head of state launched attacks against his former DP during his four-day tour in the Western region.
Even though he did not mention names, in a bid to consolidate support from the region to strengthen the shaky grounds of support for the Kenya Kwanza administration, Ruto’s choice of words, weight of criticism, and timing referred to his fallout with Gachagua.
During the four-day tour in the region, the head of state while launching several projects claimed that in the two years he was with Gachagua, the Kenya Kwanza administration was marred with challenges including incompetent appointments, corruption, and divisive tribal politics.
He stated that they currently have a broad-based government uniting Kenyans from all tribes.
“We now have a broad-based government uniting all Kenyans. The tribal leaders, those people of shares, those trappers, those conman ship people, those people who failed to do their work, those guys who are incompetent and driven by ethnicity, they have no space in our country and Kenya is a place where all people are equal and we have to walk together,” the head of state said.
“We gave some people jobs, but they were incompetent, corrupt, and propagated divisive politics. We are now united and Kenya will march forward as an indivisible nation,” he added.
He defended his decision to work with ODM leader Raila Odinga terming the move as a point of uniting Kenyans.
“There are those who want to bring ethnic and tribal politics, but their time is up, this broad-based government ensures we focus on uniting the nation and addressing the needs of all Kenyans,” Ruto stated.
