Fourteen candidates shortlisted for Eacc CEO position
Fourteen candidates have been shortlisted for the Chief Executive officer position at the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
This comes after EACC advertised a vacancy for the position last month in the local dailies inviting application submissions by Monday this week.
In the notice today, EACC revealed that a total of 172 candidates applied from the 47 counties but the commission narrowed down to the 14 that have been shortlisted.
Those shortlisted include Stephen Maisha Ngowa (Kitui), Doreen Nkatha Muthaura (Isiolo), Jackson Kaunda Mue (Machakos), Joseph Vincent Onyango (Nairobi), Paul Ndemo Maina (Kisii), Victor Omari Okongo (Siaya), Peter Lokol Lomulen (Turkana), Obadiah Kipkoech Keitany (Baringo), John Tentemo Ole Moyaki (Kajiado), David Kiplagat Ruto Too (Uasin Gishu),Abdi Mohamed Mohamud (Garissa), Justa Wawira Mwangi (Embu), Mohamed Abdul Mmaka (Lamu) and Waweru Karanja (Laikipia).
The 14 are expected to attend interviews at the Public Service Commission House along Harambee Avenue next month between the November 19 and November 21, 2024 respectively.
“The shortlisted candidates are invited to attend an interview at the Public Service Commission House, Harambee Avenue Nairobi, in the 1st-floor boardroom and dates and time specified below.” The notice by EACC stated.
Ngowa, Muthaura, Mue, Onyango and Maina will be interviewed on November 19, 2024, between 9 am and 3:30 pm.
Interviews for Okongo, Lomuleni, Keitany, Moyaki and Too will be conducted on November 20, 2024 at the same times.
Mohamud, Mwangi, Mmaka and Karanja will be interviewed on November 21.
The shortlisted candidates have been instructed to bring their national ID cards, academic and professional certificates, valid clearance certificates from the KRA, DCI, HELB, and CRB, as well as a self-declaration form from the EACC.
They are also required to carry letters of recognition from the Commission of Higher Education for any degree they have obtained from foreign universities, and recommendation letters from relevant professional bodies, where applicable.
Members of the public have also been invited to share and avail credible information of interest relating to the suitability of the shortlisted candidates.
The successful candidate is expected to replace the current CEO Twalib Mbarak whose six-year term expires next year January.
