Form One students reporting date pushed to May 4

Form One students will report to school on May 4, this is according to Education Principal Secretary Julius Jwan.

The PS announced yesterday stating that the decision was due to the declaration by the Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i that the 3rd of May is a public holiday to mark Idd-ul-Fitr.

The students were expected to report to school on the 3rd of May 3.

“The Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government has gazetted 3rd May, 2022 as a public holiday, which is the date of form one students were expected to report,” stated the circular which was sent to the regional and county directors of education, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and the National Parents Association, reads in part.

“Consequently, it has been decided that the reporting date for Form One students will be from May 4, 2022.” It added.

The PS called on all students, parents and stakeholders to take note of the changes and act accordingly.
