Five killed, scores injured in dawn vehicles smash-up in Timboroa

Five people have been reported dead after a road accident in Timboroa, along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway.

The accident which occurred at the Mlango Tatu area at around 01.40 am on Thursday involved two PSV buses, a matatu and two private vehicles among them a Mistubishi bus and three other vehicles including a Toyota Probox.

The National Police Service (NPS) reports that three victims died at the scene, while two others succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at the Eldama Ravine Sub-County Hospital.

Bodies of the 5 victims have been preserved at the same hospital morgue awaiting autopsy.

10 others who sustained serious injuries are receiving treatment at the medical facility.
