Three people from one family including a four months child died after being struck by lightening at Katira village Nambale Sub County in Busia county.
Nambale OCPD Henry Ibutu said the deceased were sleeping when lightening struck their house burning them beyond recognition.
Speaking to the press, Ibutu said the deceased man was aged 36 years while the woman was 25 years.
He said the incident happened at 1.00 am adding that the bodies were taken to Kocholia Sub county hospital mortuary.
The police boss said two children who were sleeping in a different house survived the tragedy.
He appealed to leaders to install lightening arrestors in order to curb such incidents.
