Facebook outage earlier this week that disrupted access for users and businesses around the world taking serves as a wake up call to businesses that rely on the social media channels.
The outage triggered turned to Twitter to lament their inability to use the apps showing how dependent the world has become on a company that is under intense scrutiny.
Facebook apps which include, Facebook messanger, Whatsapp and Instagram went offline for seven hours on Monday.
According to the company, the problem was due to networking issues.
“The outage cut off communications between Facebook’s data centers, leading to a cascade of disruptions as servers were cut off with each other,” Facebook said.
Facebook has built itself into a linchpin platform with messaging, livestreaming, virtual reality and many other digital services.
Still, for many businesses, creators and advertisers who rely heavily on platforms like Facebook and Instagram, should consider expanding their reach via other sales channels to restrict disruption.
