DPP directs withdrawal of Sh100 panty case

The DPP has directed the withdrawal of a case in which a Busia man is accused of damaging a woman’s underwear worth Sh100.

The charge sheet states that Michael Emukule destroyed Wilbroda Barasa’s underwear on February 10.

The nature of their relationship was not disclosed.

Emukule was arrested on February 18 to face charges of maliciously damaging property.

Via Twitter on Friday, the ODPP noted that its attention had been drawn to the case pending at Busia Law Courts.

“The DPP has directed that the matter be placed before the court for withdrawal,” the tweet also stated.

The case will be mentioned on Monday.
