DCI pursue jilted man suspected of killing his ex-wife
Witnesses told the sleuths that the 32-year-old was last seen heading to the boyfriend’s house at around 8pm

Homicide detectives in Eldama Ravine, Baringo County, have launched a manhunt for a suspect who is suspected of brutally murdering his ex-wife outside her current boyfriend’s rented house.
A statement by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) indicates that the deceased had deep cuts on her head.
According to the DCI, the main suspect, who was identified as Alex Kimeli, is suspected of committing the act out of jealousy that his former spouse had moved on.
“The devastating incident was reported by Saos area Chief Judith Chebon last night, after finding the woman’s lifeless body sprawled outside her current boyfriend’s rented house with deep cuts on the head,” the detectives stated.
Witnesses told the sleuths that the 32-year-old was last seen heading to the boyfriend’s house at around 8:00 pm, but her body was discovered almost an hour later, drenched in blood.
“Neighbours who witnessed the horrendous scene with utter condemnation noted to have last seen the victim heading to the said boyfriend’s house moments past 8 PM, only for her lifeless body to be found at 9 PM, soaked in blood at the compound,” the DCI added.
The DCI has indicated that sleuths from the Koibatek division are in charge of the probe as they have now turned their focus to tracking down the suspect.
“Detectives from DCI Koibatek have commenced investigations, and the prime suspect, Alex Kimeli Ng’elel (husband), who has since run into hiding, is being pursued,” they confirmed.
The incident comes a day after sleuths in Meru launched a manhunt for three suspects who robbed a man before defiling his girlfriend.
The suspects accosted the man who was with his girlfriend before robbing off their valuables before stabbing the man and raping his woman in turns.
The victims were heading to their house in Mwitetia from Meru town on a bodaboda when they were intercepted by the machete-wielding gang at Gakoromone area.
They were taken to Meru Teaching and Referral Hospital by good Samaritans where they were treated and later discharged.
