Suspected explosive device recovered outside Nairobi building

There was panic outside Ebony House in Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD) today after a suspected explosive device was found abandoned outside a building along Taita Taveta lane.

Police officers immediately cordoned the area, awaiting the arrival of the special bomb squad.

Minutes later, the special squad arrived in the area to examine the device, after which they took the said device for further investigations.

Bomb experts have since combed the scene and examined the said device.

The public was advised to keep off the area that had been sealed by police officers.
