Co-op Bank offer scholarship support to unprivileged learners in Nakuru County

Co-operative Bank of Kenya has extended a helping hand by providing scholarships to needy children who finished their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCSE) awaiting to join Form One in Nakuru county.

The lender issued Sh95,000 for national school students and Sh65,000 for other schools.

According to Nakuru county governor Susan Kihika, the scholarships will also cover for books, uniforms and shoes.

“Today I received a couyrtesy call from Co-operative Bank who extended a hand of support by providing scholarships for needy children of Sh95,000 for national schools and Sh65,000 for other schools. The scholarships will also cover books, uniforms and shoes,” Kihika stated.

The Co-operative Bank scholarship program which was launched in 2007 provides full school fees scholarships for the entire four years of secondary education.

University scholarships are awarded to the best performing students from each region.
