Ngunjiri rubbishes Raila’s election rigging by military claims

Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri has told off the opposition over claims that the government is planning to use the military to rig the August 8 general elections.

Speaking in his constituency during the launch of National Youth Service cohort, Ngunjiri pointed out that the opposition chief Raila Odinga was misleading Kenyans in his allegations saying it was normal for the military to hold meetings.

He lashed at the opposition describing them as lone rangers who have gone in war with every government organ after reading signs of defeat in the coming polls.

Ngunjiri urged them to instead focus on selling their policies to Kenyans instead of fighting every government moves, most of which clearly spell out development moves for Kenyans.

The legislator urged President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto not to respond to the criticism from the opposition saying they have stooped too low in their propaganda which an informed Kenyan wouldn’t agree with.

He further warned the opposition that the international community is watching every move he makes ahead of the general elections and he will be to blame in case violence breaks out after the polls.

Ngunjiri dismissed Raila’s claims that he would reduce the cost of living, offer free education, among other promises within three months terming them as empty political rhetoric that amounts to abusing the intelligence of Kenyans.
