The World 3,000m steeplechase champion Conseslus Kipruto has been charged with defiling a 15-year-old girl in Nandi County.
He appeared at the Kapsabet Law Courts on Monday the 16th of November where he pleaded not guilty to that incident and was freed with a bond of sh200,000.
The 25-year-old won gold in the men’s 3,000m steeplechase at the 2016 Olympic Games held in China and consequently at the 2017 and 2019 World Championships held in London and Doha respectively.
