A presidential advisor implicated in fraud syndicate targeting job seekers, tenderpreneurs
A flamboyant advisor to President William Ruto has been implicated in a web of racketeering and fraud syndicate targeting job seekers and tenderpreneurs.
The official who is said to have gained notoriety in such schemes alongside one of his officers, also attached to the House on the hill but operating from an external office are said to have defrauded millions of shillings from employment seekers in lucrative government ministries and agencies.
Similarly, they are also said to have collected millions from tenderpreneurs.
One of those implicated suffered a public dress down at city hotel where one of his victims demanded his money back. Out of public shame, the official pleaded with the man to leave the hotel promising an employment letter the following day. He had to call his accomplice, who at the time was on a trip to a West Africa state who promised to facilitate the victim’s employment once he lands back into the country.
It is only a matter of time before they are busted by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (Eacc) detectives and their counterparts from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
