A dormitory in Sigoti Girls in Nyakach, Kisumu County has been razed down on Saturday morning.
All students belongings in the dorm were reduced to ashes including some school property.
The fire started around 9 pm and the cause is yet to be established.
No injuries have been reported.
Nyakach OCPD Henry Malova said the fire was contained before spreading to other buildings.
The latest incident comes just as the country is mourning the deaths of seven students at the Moi Girls School, Nairobi who perished this morning following fire tragedy.
10 others are hospitalized, two in critical condition.
“The cause of the fire is yet to be known. Police and the school administration are conducting a roll call to identify the dead. We have commenced probe but those culpable will be prosecuted,” The CS stated.
