Bizarre as woman fakes husband’s death, sue boyfriend for children’s upkeep
Eldoret residents were left in awe after it emerged that a middle-aged woman had faked her husband’s death to sue her boyfriend for children’s upkeep.
The truth unfolded in front of Eldoret Senior Resident Magistrate Christine Menya that the woman had sued his newfound love for the upkeep of her two sons she had sired with her ex-husband.
Nonetheless, the dead father made his way before Justice Menya armed with tough questions that needed sombre explanations.
The man could not fathom why his wife had sued another man for child support, yet he was still alive and kicking.
He also revealed that he had been fully present and been fending for his children.
On the other hand, the newfound lover alleged that he was only a lover of the teacher.
“I was only being a good Samaritan by helping her pay school fees for her children, but I parted ways with her upon realising that her husband was alive, contrary to what she had told me when I first met her,” the man told the court.
However, the woman in her defence accused her ex-lover of interfering with her well-crafted plan.
According to the woman, her plan was only to provide children with a proper education with support from her financially capable new lover.
She could not comprehend how her ex-lover got the information while at the same time accusing her husband of being an irresponsible father.
The magistrate asked her why she wanted the man to take care of the children of another man who was capable of fending for his children.
While thumping the last nail to the coffin, the woman publicized that she had scripted his new lover’s family name to the names of her children on their birth certificates.
The accused denied the allegations levelled against him.
Justice Menya directed the biological father to take care of his children.
