Hosts Kenya have continued to showcase good results in the ongoing Kenya Quadrangular women’s T20 series against visitors Qatar as they managed to win by nine wickets with 85 balls remaining.
Kenya’s captain Queentor Abel continued to showcase her vitality to the ladies’ side as she scooped player of the match award after managing 21 runs.
Qatar managed to score 39 runs all out in 17.2 overs.
In earlier played games played on the opening day of the tournament, the Kenya lost eight wickets to Uganda, who held them to only 54 runs for the loss of three wickets as they overpowered Tanzania by six wickets with Quinter Abel leading the way with 31 runs.
Earlier, the Tanzania Women’s Cricket team won by 4 wickets beating Qatar on Day two of the T20 cricket series.
The match which was played for the most part of the afternoon had Fatuma Kubasu the Captain of the Tanzania team score 52 from 44 bowls.
Qatar which looked the better team managed to score 98 albeit chasing for the loss of 8 wickets.
Aisha scored 28 and Shamim making 10 runs.
Nasra Saidi made two wickets making 12 runs with Agnes Qwele making 2 wickets with 17 runs.
