Murder suspects of Kiru boys’ principal file case against judge

The two accused persons in the murder of Kiru boys’ principal have filed a notice of motion seeking to have justice Joel Ngugi who is the head of the Kiambu High Court disqualify himself from the case.

Jane Muthoni who is the widow of the deceased and Isaac Nganga who denied the murder charges have argued that the same court had determined a prior case involving Joseph Kariuki alias Karis who confessed to the murder of the principal Solomon Mwangi and was jailed for seven years for manslaughter.

He is the one who mentioned the two accused persons and hence  the court  cannot accord an impartial and fair hearing.

They have prayed that the court refers the case for trial at Nairobi high court.
