Co-op Bank reaffirms commitment to strengthening Saccos

Co-op Consultancy, a fully owned subsidiary of the Bank, has been playing a critical role in strengthening the cooperative movement

Co-op Bank has affirmed its commitment to strengthening Savings and Credit Cooperative Societies (Saccos) in the country.

Speaking during the official opening of the two-day 14th Kenya Teachers Sacco Association (KETSA) Annual Conference on Thursday, Co-op Bank Director Cooperatives Banking Division Vincent Marangure affirmed the strength of the partnership between the lender and the Sacco movement.

“Our commitment to the cooperative movement remains steadfast, as the leading financial partner to the 15-million-member cooperative sector, offering specialised financial solutions tailored to their unique needs,” he said.

The leading lender for cooperatives across the country was the premium sponsor of the two-day KETSA’s 14th Annual Conference,  in a Nairobi hotel.

It brought together over 200 leaders of Kenya Teacher Saccos from across the country. Co-op Bank was the be a premium sponsor of the event.

Murangure led the Co-op Bank team in sharing with them the latest innovations in digital payment and collection channels, risk management, and integrated customer relationship management.

Co-op Consultancy, a fully owned subsidiary of the Bank, has been playing a critical role in strengthening the cooperative movement in Kenya.

Since its inception in 2002, Co-op Consultancy has provided over 3,700 business advisory mandates focusing on improving performance, governance, and sustainability within cooperative societies.

In his remarks, KETSA Chairman Robert Njue stated that the support of Co-op Bank has inspired their growth across the country and confidence.

“We were deeply honored to have sponsored the KETSA 14th Annual Conference Meeting. Their presence and powerful message during the opening ceremony by the Banking Director have reaffirmed the strength of the partnership between Cooperative Bank and the SACCO movement.
