Migori Governor Okoth Obado has given the striking nurses 24 hours to report to work failure or face the sack.
Obado, who was speaking after conducting an inspection at the Migori County Hospital, said he will not condone laziness and absenteeism in his government.
The county boss said what nurses are demanding from the counties is unrealistic and too big for the counties’ budget.
He pointed out that the counties budgetary allocation is too little to cater for the huge amounts the nurses are asking for.
