JCB Backhoe Loader at stake in Kiambu hole-in-one leg this weekend

The addition of the hole-in-one prize adds an extra layer of thrill to what is already one of the region’s most dynamic amateur golf circuits

Kiambu Golf Club is set to host the latest leg of the 2025 local amateur Golf Series this Saturday as the tournament returns for its fourth qualifier event of the year.

About 200 golfers will tee off in a competitive round, with slots to the series Grand Finale later in the year—and on offer and add to that, a brand-new JCB Backhoe Loader, Model 3DX construction machine as a hole-in-one prize.

The new incentive is made possible through a partnership between series promoters NCBA Bank and construction and agricultural equipment dealer JCB Ganatra Plant and Equipment ltd, who will be offering the high-performance machines as hole-in-one prizes at the tournaments on the 2025 NCBA Golf Series calendar.

“By offering something as impactful as a JCB Backhoe loader machine to any golfer lucky and skilled enough to hit that perfect shot, we’re showing just how far we’re willing to go to make this series truly unforgettable,” stated Lewis Mugambi, NCBA Head of Asset Financing & Business Solutions.

On his part, Altaf Ganatra, Managing Director at JCB Ganatra Plant and Equipment Ltd, said: “We’re proud to be part of the Series and even prouder to kick things off with the hole-in-one prize at the Kiambu leg. This machine is a symbol of strength, reliability, and progress—values we see reflected not just in NCBA, but also in the spirit of golf itself. These machines are designed to get the job done, no matter the terrain—just like a great golfer rises to every challenge on the course.”

“Our partnership goes back many years, and we are excited to see it evolve into something that connects with people in new, exciting ways. We look forward to celebrating the skill and ambition of golfers across the region, and who knows—maybe we will see a few aces this year.”
