League contenders Kenya Police FC and Tusker FC made casualties of themselves at the weekend with a goalless draw with Gor Mahia closing by three points behind and with a match in hand following a hard fought comeback win over Mathare United FC.
Police and Tusker who are tied on 38 points off 20 matches have each dropped four points in their past two matches thus now blowing the title race wide open with 18 matches left. Their hard fought battle Saturday however saw the law enforcers under Burundian Coach Etienne Ndayiragije still maintain top spot albeit on a better goal difference of +14. The Brewers under the tutelage of Charles Okere are still very much in it to win it given their previous record of clinching titles from the disadvantage position of the back while ambitious Police are seeking their first silverware at the top tier.

In another duel, Posta Rangers stopped Shabana FC on their tracks with a 2-1 win. Sammy Omollo oversaw the master class over his former employers in style as he continues to help the mailmen seek to survive relegation.
