Aukot applies to be enjoined in NASA presidential petition

Defeated presidential candidate Ekuru Aukot has applied to be enjoined in opposition NASA’s  petition challenging President Kenyatta’s re-election  11 days after conceding defeat.

The Thirdway Way Alliance candidate, who told his fellow presidential contenders to accept the results and move on, has had a change of mind and now says he shares National Super Alliance perspective.

In his concession speech 11 days ago,  Dr Aukot had passionately pleaded with NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga, telling him that Kenya needed to move on now that elections are over.

Then, Dr Aukot said that based on his sampling of Forms 34A that were then in the electoral commission’s website, there was nothing that could substantially change the presidential election results.

Now, NASA lawyers have already filed and served all the respondents in the Supreme Court case challenging the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.
