A few hours after, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka officially rejoined Azimio la Umoja at campaigns in Embakasi, Nairobi.
Raila Odinga campaigned by asking his supporters to ensure that they get the presidency in the August 9 polls to ensure that Kenya is liberated from the claws of corruption.
He further thanked Kalonzo for joining the team, saying that Kalonzo’s support makes Azimio la Umoja a non-discriminative party.
Raila thanked Kalonzo for standing with him in the previous elections despite the pair losing. He assured his supporters that Azimio would be the winning team this time round.
Kalonzo took the opportunity to thank his supporters for standing by him and thus assuring Raila that he would deliver the Kamba vote. He also promised to rally his supporters behind ODM leader and Azimio presidential aspirant Raila Odinga.
“The Kamba vote will be in totality. We have come together as the Kamba nation,” said Kalonzo. Other leaders present included candidates vying for various seats in Nairobi and Ukambani regions. The political rally was a welcome back rally in celebration of Kalonzo, who decided to get back to the Raila-led coalition.
