Gichugu MP Njogu Barua has refuted claims by CORD-Co principal Raila Ondinga that the government is registering foreigners as voters using fake Identification Document.
Speaking at Kutus town during a mobilization campaign the MP termed as fictitious ODM leader’s claims and warned of an elaborate scheme by opposition to discredit fourth coming general election by issuing un-confirmed claims.
Accompanied by internal security PS the MP lamented that CORD leaders have become a war mongers and anytime they open their mouths are out to incite Kenyans to violence.
He said that after sensing they are losing in voter registration, the opposition has adapted war mongering strategy aimed at whipping emotion’s among its supporters.
Yesterday opposition chief Raila Odinga claimed that the IEBC voter’s register has been compromised. He the database was manipulated so the cell that has ID numbers can take any numbers instead of the eight for national IDs or seven for a passport.
The CORD-co principal accused former IEBC employees of tampering with the software. But in a strong rebuttal the MP described Raila claims as wild and fictitious allegations and urged Kenyans to ignore them.
He insisted that regions such as Mt Kenya and Riftt Valley are leading in registration following massive mobilizations by the leaders from the area. He urged opposition to stop crying wolf and instead appeal to their electrolytes to register in big number.
At same time professionals in Kirinyaga County has hired 900 boda boda motorcyclists to transport resident to register. The riders has been detailed to ensure those unable to reach registration center are carried and whoever take a person to registration center is paid 100 shillings.
Gichugu MP Njogu Barua has also hired ten Nissan matatu to transport those unable to reach registration Centre. The massive mobilization campaign is ongoing with three principal secretaries leading in mobilization.
