Rongo MP Peter Odalo claims he drove himself to Integrity Centre, denies being arrested
He says he never traded with the Rongo NG-CDF to drill boreholes or construct classes

Rongo Member of Parliament Paul Odalo has refuted a statement by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) that he was arrested over fraud allegations and loss of public funds.
Odalo said he drove himself to the Integrity Centre at the request of EACC officers who were at his home and office and conducted a search.
The legislator revealed that officers from the commission earlier today went to his private office and home with search warrants as they investigate a case of conflict of interest and not fraud or loss of public funds.
“Officers from EACC came to my residence with a search warrant about allegations of conflict of interest. I gave them the go-ahead to search my house, and they took me to my private office in Hurlingham where they conducted a search and told me to come to the headquarters to record a statement,” Odalo explained.
The MP said he has never traded with the Rongo NG-CDF to drill boreholes or construct classes.
“I have never traded with NG-CDF,” he stated.
In its statement to the media, EACC indicated that the MP was arrested and brought to Integrity Centre to record a statement about his company, Aztech Infrastructure Limited, being involved in the drilling of boreholes in his constituency and building classrooms.
The agency further claimed that the company had so far received over Sh12o million; a statement in which the MP said he could not discuss private details of his company.
It added that his PA was trading with his company and the sub-county, Odalo said he could not speak on behalf of a company he knows nothing about.
