Several people are feared dead and scores injured after a five-storey building under construction came tumbling down this morning Ruaka, Kiambu County.
The building collapsed on an adjacent residential home near Fortune Club area today at dawn.
Several emergency response teams led by Kiambu fire brigade and the Kenya Red Cross are currently leading rescue efforts amid fears several people have been trapped.
This comes two days after another condemned building collapsed killing three and injuring six others in Kasarani, Nairobi County.
The owner of the building identified as Joel Kamau Kibe is still at large and detectives attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) are looking for him.
