According to Ruto, the government would hasten the automation and digitization of its services to the public in order to facilitate access.
“Government services shall be made available throughout the country at greater convenience to citizens through digitization and automation of all critical government processes, with a view to bringing at least 80 per cent of all government services online,” he said
The Head of State stated that the government would make greater efforts to invest in the digital sector and the creative industry by ensuring the roll-out of universal broadband to improve connectivity across the whole of the nation.
“The government will guarantee the availability of universal broadband over the course of the next five years by rolling out connectivity across the nation. This goal is anticipated to be met by laying out an extra 100,000 kilometers of the national fiber-optic network,” he said.
The Head of State also commended improvements achieved by the nation to advance service delivery in the information and digital sphere.
