The National Security Advisory Committee (NSAC) has congratulated security officials for their remarkable work in maintaining peace during this election phase.
In a statement issued to the press through its Chairperson Joseph Kinyua, the organisation expressed its gratitude to the police officers and all other security agencies involved, for the exceptional job in ensuring that the nation remained peaceful and secure.
“We also appreciate the National Police Service and all the other security agencies for the remarkable work done in maintaining law and order during this election period,” Kinyua said.
The Commission further thanked Kenyans for exercising their democratic right by turning up to vote and exercising patience while waiting for the presidential results to be announced by IEBC.
“We laud all Kenyans for a high sense of civic duty and for demonstrating tremendous patience as we waited for the declaration of the Presidential Election results,” said the Commission chair.
After assessing the security situation in the country, the committee concluded that the nation was peaceful and assured Kenyans that the government had taken necessary precautions to ensure that the country remained peaceful.
The committee urged Kenyans to resume their daily activities and participate actively in building the country’s economy.
