Kenya Airways reviews its flights to recover from pandemic losses

Kenya Airways has made significant changes in what appears to be a strategy for recovering from the pandemic losses.

Flights increment on the London route is expected to increase through the winter. The increment is from normally five times a week to a daily flight.

The airline postponed the launch of Milan and Rome routes that were expected to start on June 8, 2022, to a later date not yet disclosed, but it will still continue flying to the Italian destination through London, Paris and Amsterdam.

The Nairobi-Kisumu flights have been reduced from 26 to 17 times weekly, while the Juba-Khartoum route, which has been operational daily, has been scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The weekends (Friday and Saturday) will be for flights to Sudan. The airline has termed the changes the ‘fastest recovery for pre-covid schedule.’
