A judge has apologized to the Director of Public Prosecution over an incidence that saw a Magistrate jail a state lawyer.
Justice Ngenye Macharia said the incident was unfortunate as lawyers and Magistrates should not vent out their anger but work harmoniously to ensure justice propel.
“We are all human beings and bound to make mistakes, we all started from somewhere and we should correct each other in a proper manner,” the Judge said.
Resident Magistrate Tobiko Sinkiyian caused a stir on Tuesday after she jailed state Prosecutor Willy Momanyi who she accused of failing to produce witnesses in a Sh11 million theft case involving a former national council of Non-Governmental Organizations CEO Philip Okeyo.
