Thirty passengers cheated death after a bus they were travelling in was involved in an accident at Yala, on the Kisumu-Busia road, on Monday evening.
The passengers, who sustained serious injuries were rushed to St Mary’s Yala Hospital for medication and are now in a stable condition.
Luanda Traffic base commander Hannington Mwazonga said the bus heading to Busia from Nairobi went out of control and landed in a ditch as the driver was trying to avoid a head-on collision with an oncoming vehicle.
The driver of the oncoming vehicle was trying to avoid hitting a pothole when the accident occurred.
