A total of twenty-three people have tested positive of the Coronavirus involving seventeen Kenyans and six foreigners from the surveillance done in the last 24 hours.
This brings the country Covid-19 positivity rate to 1.2 per cent. However, no death was reported.
Sixteen of those who tested positive are male and seven females. The youngest is a 4-year-old while the oldest is 93 years old.
“Total confirmed positive cases are now 337,622 and cumulative tests so far conducted are 3, 821, 872.” Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe has said.
The cases were spread across four counties namely; Nairobi 16, Uasin Gishu 3, Kericho and Siaya 2 cases each.
At the same time, 80 patients have recovered from the disease with 77 from the Home Based and Isolation Care program while 3 are from various health facilities countrywide.
Total recoveries now stand at 331,415 of whom 277, 875 are from Home Based Care and Isolation program, while 53, 540 are from various health facilities countrywide.
No death was reported. Therefore, the cumulative fatalities remain 5,672.
A total of 57 patients are currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 455 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.
One patient is currently Intensive Care Unit (ICU) while 12 are in the general wards and on supplemental oxygen.
A total of 20, 493, 898 vaccines have been administered across the country. Of these, 17, 454, 531 are doses administered to the adult population.
Another 1,820, 705 are doses administered to those between 15 to 17 years, 258, 639 are below 15 years but above 12 years while 960,023 are booster doses.
The total number of vaccines administered in the last 24 hours is 118, 543 while the total number of people fully vaccinated in the last 24 hours is 35, 108.
The proportion of adults fully vaccinated stands at 33.8 per cent.
