Woman accuses police for failing to arrest her husband for defiling 6-year old daughter
A 28-year-old woman in Nanyuki town has accused police officers of failing to arrest her husband who has allegedly been defiling their 6-year-old daughter.
The woman, a businesswoman in the town claims despite reporting the matter at Nanyuki police station and issued with an OB number 26/11/3/2017, nothing has been done.
The mother of the standard one pupil at a primary school in Nanyuki town narrated how she discovered the daughter had been sexually assaulted.
The mother narrated how on a Friday morning while preparing her to go to school she discovered she had worn her inner ware inside out and asked her why she had removed them.
She continued that upon interrogating her, she divulged to her that her father has been sexually assaulting and warned that if she tell her mother, he would slash her with a panga.
The woman indicated that the daughter told her that the father who is from Teso would remove her under garments when the mother was away, defile her and direct her to sleep.
The seemingly distraught woman said the same information was collaborated by the pupil’s teacher whom she asked for assistance.
The mother said that she took her daughter to Huruma and Nanyuki hospitals where she was found to have been sexually assaulted.
She availed the P3 form to Nanyuki police station but nothing seems to happen barely a month later and all she wants is justice for her daughter.
Contacted on phone, Laikipia East police boss James Kithuka said the suspect; a bouncer at a popular club in Nanyuki town is wanted for sexually assaulting the minor.
He added that he escaped police arrest on March 11 after he jumped over the fence when they went to arrest him.
