Vote out leaders who preach division, Uhuru tells Embu residents

President Uhuru Kenyatta has urged Embu county leaders to come together and stop in fighting among themselves in order to achieve development for their people.

Speaking to charged crowd at Kiritiri market Uhuru appealed to the residents to register as voters in big number and vote in fresh leaders who will not divide them along the ethnic lines.

Uhuru said division and infighting among the leaders has denied the county development which was expected by the residents.

The president said the elected leaders in Embu County who have been fighting among themselves have plunged the county back to those years where people used to indentify as Muembu and Mumbeere.

Uhuru said by registering as voters Embu residents will have a chance of voting out such leaders who dwells on in fighting instead of concentrating their effort more toward developments.

The head of state who denied Embu county leaders a chance to great their people said he had no preferred candidate of any position right from gubernatorial to member of county assembly.

Uhuru urged the residents not vote ant leaders who is campaigning under an umbrella of divisive politics of clanism.

He further urged the youths in the county not to be used by politicians to course chaos to their competitors in political rallies.

Nairobi senator Mike Sonko who had accompanied the president challenged opposition for mobilizing youths in their strongholds to course chaos to jubilee leaders.

Sonko said the opposition which has smelt a defeat is using all means to course tension in the country in order to reject August outcome.

He threatened to mobilize youths in Jubilee strong holds and retaliate if the opposition will not respect other leaders when then they visit their areas. The president also visited Siakago town in Mbeere town, Runjenjes town, Manyatta town and Embu town.
