Miguna Miguna expected back in the country after 4 years in exile
Self-proclaimed general and controversial lawyer Dr. Miguna Miguna has announced that he will arrive in Kenya tomorrow following the lifting of the red alert imposed against him.
This is after his dramatic deportation to Canada on the 26th of February 2018 a scene that gave rise the famous “I’m not boarding” rhetoric.
“Patriots. I’ll be arriving on the KQ Flight at 6 am. Terminal 1. Cheers.” Posted Miguna on his twitter handle.
About a month ago, Miguna who also hold a Canadian citizenship announced that President William Ruto had him issued with a new Kenyan passport after his old one was destroyed.
He stated that he was not required to sign any documentation to have his passport renews as was ordered by the state through interior cabinet secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’I during the tenure of immediate retired President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The Barrister’s trouble with government began after he swore in Raila Odinga as the people’s president in January 30th after the disputed 2017 elections.
Since then, Miguna has been very vocal on social media against Kenyatta, Azimio One Kenya alliance leader Raila Odinga and has shown support and some admiration for Ruto.
Notably, Miguna had declared that he will only come to Kenya after Ruto was sworn in as the fifth President in line with the Head of State’s promise to allow him back once elected President.
