Tension in Kayole after protests over alleged killing of a boda boda rider

Tension remains high in Kayole, Nairobi after suspected proscribed Gaza criminal gang engaged police in running battles for hours now.

The outlawed group is believed to have infiltrated residents who staged protest after alleged shooting a boda boda rider.

The group is said to be robbing pedestrians, motorists and business operators in broad daylight brandishing crude weapons including guns.

Anti-riot officers attached to Kayole Police Station have been forced to request for reinforcement after they got overwhelmed.

People have been forced to seek refuge at police station, nearby buildings and hospitals for fear of being attacked and robbed and attacked by the daring youths.
