Wamae officially confirms Wajackoyah supports Raila

Justina Wamae, Roots party presidential running mate has officially confirmed that her party leader, George Wajackoyah is supporting Azimio’s Raila Odinga.

This comes hours after Wajackoyah rejected endorsing Raila Odinga as his preferred presidential candidate.

The Roots party leader had earlier clarified that he does not support Raila and the video that had gone viral on social media platforms was falsified.

“It is true the allegations that my principal and party leader is supporting Azimio. But we have not discussed that as a party, we have not agreed and neither have I been consulted,” she said.

According to Justina, the focal point of the Roots party was to advance its manifesto.

While addressing the reports many people had raised concerning their party being a state project, she openly denied the allegations that their party was being used as a propaganda tool by either of the two leading presidential candidates.

She, however, stated that if the need arose for them to endorse any of their opponents, she would choose a different leader from what Wajackoyah had chosen.

Wamae, however, did not specify the presidential candidate she would support should they not contest.

According to her, she would choose an opposite candidate from her boss, because she had a different opinion as an individual.
