Justina Wamae congratulates President-Elect William Ruto, slams Wajackoya’s party
Roots Party’s presidential running mate Justina Wamae has come out to congratulate William Ruto five days after he was declared President-elect by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
Wamae while congratulating the two Kenya Kwanza leaders said he will support Ruto and Gachagua to achieve a financially secure Kenya that is dignified across the globe.
“Congratulations Ruto and Rigathi on your victory. As the representative of the Kenyan youth I will support in any way I can to achieve a financially secure Kenya that is dignified across the globe. God bless you and your families as you undertake your new responsibility,” Wamae said.
According to Wamae it has taken her that long to congratulate Ruto as she was still taking note of different arguments by various political factions that have been at loggerheads over the results released by IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati.
“It has taken me 4 days listening to argument from all quotas on whether IEBC was free, fair and transparent and I can confidently say that the election was transparent because the polling station agents who are supreme in this process would have raised an alarm if the Presiding officer was up to no good,” she said.
Wamae further termed the election process as transparent, noting that polling station agents would have raised alarm of any foul play at their various posts.
“The Returning Officer in the constituency level would have been alarmed and mark you the national tallying center had no power in determining the outcome of the 2022 Presidential election.”
Wamae also took the opportunity to slam political parties that lost at the polls and have since contested the results while pointing out Roots Party, on whose ticket she ran jointly with its presidential candidate Prof. George Wajackoyah, as one such political entity that has challenged the results alleging vote rigging.
“So when I see some parties like Roots Party who as a member can confidently say we were disorganized in regard to agent’s mobilization stating that votes were stolen is simply preposterous,” noted Wamae.
She also pledged to join hands with Ruto and Gachagua in a bid to aid them in steering the country forward while at the same time asked Kenyans to make peace with them as their new leaders and move on to the future.
