Nyoro kicked out of Budget and Appropriations Committee over his criticism of fuel prices hike, Linzi FinCo bond
Though the changes were follow up to those made in March, critics say the targeting of the vocal MP is more than a coincidence
Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has been removed from the Budget and Appropriations Committe and replaced by his Mathioya counterpart Dr Edwin Gichuki Mugo in latest changes to National Assembly committees announced by Speaker Moses Wetang’ula.
Nyoro, who was removed as the powerful committee’s chairman for failing to take a stand during the impeachment of Rigathi Gachagua as deputy president last October, has been a thorn in the government, which saw him recently criticise the hike in pump fuel prices, claiming it used the Sh7 fuel levy imposed last year as collateral to borrow Sh175 billion, which it denies.
The MP was also critical of the listing of Talanta Infrastructure Bond worth Sh44.4 billion on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) to generate funds for the construction of the Talanta City Stadium in readiness for the hosting of the 2027 AFCON.
He has now been named as a member of the Diaspora Affairs and Migrant Workers Committe.

Taveta MP John Okano Bwire will also replace Ruku in the Trade, Industry and Cooperatives Committee
In other changes, Teso South MP Mary Emase has been named to the Public Accounts Committee to take the place of former Mbeere North MP Geoffey Ruku who resigned to join Cabinet, while Muhoroni MP James Onyango Oyoo has replaced Homa Bay Woman Rep Bensuda Joyce Adhiambo Osogo.
She will replace the late Kasipul MP Ong’ondo Were in the Blue Economy, Water and irrigation.
These are among a raft of changes made following the adoption of a motion by Majority Leader Sylvanus Osoro.
