Sonko accuses woman suing him for Sh448,000 child support of blackmail

Former Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has accused the lady who has sued him for child support of blackmailing him.

Sonko claimed on social media that the lady was known to intimidate her ex-lovers, with whom she has children.

Through his social media handle, Sonko alleged that the lady was known to blackmail her ex-lovers with whom she has children.

“Just like Jesus said let children come to me… I am kindly asking the lady alleging that she has my 15-year-old child to bring the kid to me…just the same way her two other kids Jabali and Riley were recently taken from her by her ex-boyfriend Austin, who now stays with them at Langata,” he said.

This comes after the unnamed woman filed a child support lawsuit against Sonko yesterday, claiming the senator failed to fulfil his parental role of caring for their 15-year-old daughter.

In the complaint filed at the Ngong magistrate court, the woman is requesting Sh448,450 in monthly support from Sonko to cover food and shopping, rent, security, clothing, and house help, entertainment, medical coverage, education, transportation and utilities.

Meanwhile, she wants Sonko to be compelled to pay school fees of Sh86,000 and another Sh30,450 to cover school-related expenditures and uniform, as well as provide medical coverage and upkeep again for daughter.

Sonko accused the lady of extortion and blackmail, and stated that she is after his money, stating that he will not give the lady any money to support her ‘partying lifestyle.’

“I will give the kid the best of what life has to offer. My family keeps on growing bigger everyday and I feel happy and blessed adopting orphans, street families and neglected kids, and bringing them into my home,” he added.
